Saturday Special: Jump on the Demons domination!

A split second after the full time siren went in Perth last Sunday I felt great pity for the team due to play the Melbourne Demons in Round 4 of the AFLW.
There are few better feelings for a punter than spotting a good bet one week out after watching the weekend’s action, and identifying what you know will be some great value especially if you get on early.
The $1.36 for the Dees against the hapless Magpies that came out midweek seemed a gift, as did the -12.5pt Line which I could see the Dees covering in the first quarter let alone the match.
By Thursday evening when teams dropped and I saw that the Dees had replaced Lauren Pearce (they were one tall too many against Freo) with Alyssa Mifsud, I legitimately started to look at the $9 for the Dees by 40+ as a safe inclusion in multis!
But before loading up and going online to book a holidays with my eventual winnings, I did my due diligence (as everyone should always do) and checked the weather and venue information one last time.
Forecast for Melbourne was showers which would have precipitated a level-five poop crack had I not just spied where the game was being played.
Alice-bloody-Springs you little ripper!
After my lounge room bull dancing was finished I set about examining just how flogged the Magpies would get in this ‘home’ game for the Dees.
Mifsud’s inclusion cannot be understated. She was a dominant forward for the Dees in 2017 and in her only game this season the Dees put 56pts on defending premiers Adelaide in Round 2.
56pts on the Crows. In the wind. Imagine what they will do to Collingwood who last week helped the Giants win their second ever game of footy.
Harriet Cordner’s inclusion also reveals the clubs’ mindset; Cordner was fourth at the club for tackles and pressure acts last season despite playing just 30 minutes game time, on average, in 2017.
Slow loping tall out, gun forward and terrior defender in – you can bet on the Dees bringing the pressure to the Alice.
When the Dees apply pressure they win the footy and no team has looked better moving the ball from their half forward line (Katie Hore) into deep forward (Misfud, Tegan Cunningham) in 2018.
With the Dees’ inclusions, a fine and sunny forecast and the burning pain of losing a game they had no real right to lose last-start against the Dockers, Melbourne are absolute morals this Saturday and for mine the H2H, Line and Overs can all be taken with confidence.
For those feeling my enthusiasm feel free to jump on the 40+ at the $9 quote then kick back and enjoy your Saturday evening watching the Dees forwards racking up the goals on Channel 7!
