Punters Corner: Round 7 jam-packed with exotics value

Soaring confidence is in danger of making way to outright lairising here at Club 20 after a big 60% POT return last weekend and punters are keenly anticipating a Round 7 jam-packed with exotics value.

The cheap bourbon is not the only thing flowing freely this weekend with Hedge's hail mary's flying thick and fast!

Toby Greene 20+ / 25+ Disposals

With no Whitefield for the Giants there is the prospect of a bump for Greene here especially with Coniglio carrying a few niggles and likely to spend time out of the square. Toby had 18 touches last week and is more than capable of bettering that at good odds.

Alex Neal-Bullen 2+ / 3+ / 4+ Goals

Alex has not been getting shots so far in 2019, but then again neither have any of his teammates really. He kicked multiple goals in 8 games last season and is capable on sneaking a few here if his teammates can fire up and give him some supply.

Mitch Lewis 2+ / 3+ / 4+ Goals

Normally, Iโ€™d stay away from a guy who sprays a kick from 20m in front of the goal, especially with the specter of rain in Melbourne this Saturday. But targeting the Demons key defence is a winning formula in 2019 and Lewis is priced far too temptingly for multiple goals to let it pass. Riding for luck big time here, hopefully the rain stays away and we get a shootout at the G.

Jason Castagna 3+ / 4+ / 5+ Goals

Jason Castagna is getting the shots and it's been a matter of him not kick straight. But the day he does, it will be payday big time and hopefully, that day is Saturday against the Western Bulldogs.

Jarrod Harbrow 25+ / 30+ Disposals

Without Pearce Hanley and Lachie Weller down back, Jarrod Harbrow is in a great spot to clear 25+ as he simply must be used almost every time coming out of defence in a game where the ball is likely to live in the Suns forward line. Worth the risk at great odds.

Jack Martin 25+ / 30+ Disposals

This is a hail mary play but just looking at the teams INs and OUTs, I can see Martin potentially playing in the backline and he can rack them up if he gets that spot.

Daisy Thomas 30+ Disposals

No Simpson, no Newman, have to have something on Daisy to clear 30 as the odds donโ€™t reflect the increased exposure he will get.

Trent Dumont 30+ Disposals

I may be a sucker for punishment, but Iโ€™ll keep going back to this guy who has amazing disposal ceiling if only his team would realise it. Brad Scott has finally dropped Aaron Hall so maybe he is starting to get a clue about who in his team can play footy.

Nick Larkey 2+ / 3+ / 4+ Goals

The kid can play. Watched him very closely first up and he could very easily have finished with 5. Going back again against a relatively small Carlton key defence. No Zurhaar for North means Larkey likely to be even more of a target as the Carlton defenders try and zone off to account for Brown.

Hedge

Cruelly denied sporting glory due to recurring shin splint complaints and an aversion to warm-up laps, Hedge now spends his days golfing, fishing the leaves out of the Club 20 pools and identifying value plays in PGA, AFL, AFLW and T20. All you really need to know about him is he's more than comfortable taking 3I off the tee on a Par 5, and more than capable of pulling driver off the deck second shot.
