Jingling all the way to (hopefully) a free Xmas shop!

With Xmas around the corner and presents needing to be purchased, we thought we’d step it up a gear and take all-combinations from our four bets in this big NBA Thursday slate.

That’s right, all singles, doubles, trebles and the four-legger (15 bets).

Whatever your stake, we’ll need three to hit to have a good day, but 4/4 is the goal and we’re feeling confident playing with mostly the bookie's money still after a solid start to the merriest of months.

And hey, if more than two of our bets fail, look at it this way - the kids are too spoilt and have got enough sh*t to play with anyway – wrap up something around the house and have the, ‘there are kids in Africa that would love to get a 'besser block' for Xmas" defence in the skyrocket if (when) they whinge.

On a personal note, a big win today would certainly help yours truly after I put a little too much pressure on myself yesterday, telling the Mrs to stand down on the Xmas ham purchase because id ‘absolutely be winning one in the ham and turkey 4-ball on Saturday’ – these bets have a much better chance than my current golf game...

Carn the Club!

Joe Ingles Points + Assists +15.5 @ 1.91

With no Conley for the Jazz, expect Mitchell to slide up to point which could (should) open up the door for Jingling Joe to start in this game and play north of 28 minutes. Normally we’d include the rebounds in the combo but not a fan of rebounds against this Lakers team with AD out there. Besides, Joe will be too busy jacking up 3’s or feeding Donny to worry about grabbing boards.

Trae Young Points + Rebounds + Assists +40.5 @ 1.85

Young is a one-man band at the Hawks in terms of offense. If he is not shooting it, he is delivering the last pass, and against the Nets, he should be able to shoot at will. Has shown multiple times this season he is capable of clearing this combo line on points alone and we expect the kid to bounce back in a big way here in what is a winnable game for the Hawks at home.

Kemba Walker Points + Rebounds + Assists +32.5 @ 1.86

We must be missing something here because this line looks really low. Perhaps the game against the Nuggets a few weeks ago where he played 12mins and got hurt is still impacting markets, maybe it’s the matchup (which admittedly is not great), or maybe it is just his lacklustre last few games were he has finished on 28 and 31 combo points. Maybe all. What we see is no Hayward and almost certainly no Marcus Smart, against a Heat side that is on a back to back game in Toronto that went to OT. Walker should get as many minutes and as much usage as is required to keep the Celtics in this game.

Lauri Markkanen Points + Rebounds + Assists + 23.5 @ 1.94

Markkanen had a pretty putrid week last week but looks to be trending in the right direction now on the back of a solid 30mins 20/7/1 effort against the Kings, including 4 3’s. Could have been more too, few good-looking shots went in and out. This is a pace-up spot against a depleted Grizzlies side that Markkenan should be able to have his way with, at least enough to cover this line.

Hedge

Cruelly denied sporting glory due to recurring shin splint complaints and an aversion to warm-up laps, Hedge now spends his days golfing, fishing the leaves out of the Club 20 pools and identifying value plays in PGA, AFL, AFLW and T20. All you really need to know about him is he's more than comfortable taking 3I off the tee on a Par 5, and more than capable of pulling driver off the deck second shot.
