How To Find Out NRL's Most Likely 2023 Premiership Winner

The Penrith Panthers emerge as the hot favourites to seize the 2023 NRL premiership, as per recent data from Stats Insider.

Having simulated the 2023 NRL finals series 10,000 times, the NRL futures model presents the Panthers with a 60.4% chance of securing the title. This means the Penrith squad is presently more likely to clinch the championship than miss out on it.

The Broncos are second in the premiership probabilities at 19.6%, with the Storm at 14.9% and the Warriors at 5.1% rounding out the teams still in contention.

The Panthers are currently paying $1.90 at PointsBet to win this year's premiership, with an implied probability of 52.6%.

Stats Insider's in-house NRL specialist highlighted the Panthers' impressive trajectory, noting they're well-positioned to lock in a third successive NRL premiership.

"From the opening whistle of the NRL finals, the Panthers asserted their prowess," he commented.

"Adding to their advantage, the team will relish the chance to rest up their star players. In contrast, their upcoming adversaries, the Melbourne Storm, grapple with injury setbacks that have marked their journey through the finals.

"As the Panthers set their sights on confronting the Storm, they are bolstered by a robust 75% win probability—ranking as the third most favourable odds throughout the entire 2023 finals series."
