Changes:

📈 West Coast get back Harley Reid and Tom Barrass as well as Long and Johnston. Jayden Hunt is injured and they've dropped Edwards, Dom Sheed and Brockman. Big Positive.

📈 The Bombers bring back Perkins and Guelfi for Draper (knee) and Nick Hind is dropped. Positive.

Head to Head:

The Bombers won the most recent meeting, by just 1 point in R21 last season. The Eagles came home with a wet sail kicking 5 goals to 2 in the last quarter to just miss out under the Marvel roof. The Bombers also won the prior meeting by 50 points and West Coast won 4 of the 5 meetings leading into them. So all in all, the Eagles have a decent record over the last few seasons against the Bombers.

Last week:

The Harley Reid-less Eagles went to Gold Coast and lost by 37 points. It wasn't all doom and gloom as they jumped out to an early 3-goal lead, continuing the momentum of their recent wins over Fremantle and Richmond. The Suns pegged them back over the next quarter where it was an arm-wrestle into the middle of Q3 when the Suns finally, inevitably, took over on the Scoreboard. The Suns won the Inside 50s 67-35 (a smashing), Clearances 48-31, Contested Possession 148-111 and Tackles 79-67.

The Pies and the Bombers played out a Draw in an ANZAC Day Classic. The Bombers got off to a flying start kicking the first 4 goals of the game, and 6 of the first 7 goals. The Pies then kicked the next 6 goals to hit the front late in Q2. Barely 2 goals split the teams for the rest of the game and the Pies kicked the last 2 goals of the game before Langford had a set shot to win the game but could only manage a point to Draw it. The Bombers won Contested Possession 134-113, Clearances 40-23 while the Pies won the Tackle count 67-51.

What we can expect this week:

It's hard to not be impressed by the start that Harley Reid has made to his career and they are clearly are much more dynamic outfit when he plays. The rest last week should have been a big positive for him and he'll be mindful of jumping out of the blocks against a team that have had a long break as ANZAC Day was Thursday last week. It's hard to bet against the Eagles with Reid in the team, for now. We'll take the Eagles with the +12.5 line with Bet Right just here

West Coast +12.5
