A season’s worth of TP and Beer in one day? Challenge Accepted!

With the spectre of no sport from next week looming large, we’ve loaded up today chasing a season’s worth of toilet paper and beer money with 32 bets across four games on what looks a ripping super Saturday of footy!

We started so well last night thanks some great bets landing in the Panthers game but in the end we had to cop a small loss thanks largely to the Western Bulldogs not showing up.

Hitting Josh Mansour Most Meters at 5’s and the Kikau/Penrith double at $3.60 had the front bar whooping and bull dancing nice and early yesterday evening, and it was in this controlled, sensible environment that we commenced the form you see below.

Enjoy your day of footy and betting, could be a while before we get another one!

AFL

Bombers v Dockers

Dockers being written off a little disproportionately we feel here. Again, there will not be a lop-sided crowd in attendance here urging on the Bombers, and there is no junk gut running time for that Essendon midfield to put the foot down. Think the Dockers can keep it very close and very low.

  • Dockers +15.5 @ 1.90
  • Total Points Under 143.5 @ 1.90

Crows v Swans

This game doesn’t inspire, featuring two teams who most expect to slide in 2020. No crowd in Adelaide has to be a big boost for the Swans here. Shorter quarters and two dysfunctional forward lines combine for a low-scoring close game. Going to take a flyer on Heeney playing more forward this afternoon and kicking a few – with no really dominant goal kickers on either side aside from Papley who should have his hands full with Brown, Heeney may be able to jag the Most Goals market with 3, maybe even 2 at great odds.

  • Total Points Under 147.5 @ 1.90
  • Either Team under 15 @ 2.40
  • Tri bet 1-9 @ 3.60
  • Isaac Heeney Most Goals @ 21.00

Suns v Power

Full disclosure, I support the Suns. Putting that aside, it is hard to ignore their pre-season form and when that is combined with shorter quarters (Suns were murdered in last 5-10mins of quarters last season) and no Crowd (yes, even at Metricon the away team gets more support than the Suns) I think there is a real case for a boilover.

The disposal markets have not really loosened but they have missed Will Brodie a little, he is a bonafide 30+ onballer now he will find it out there this arv and 20+ seems pretty safe. Lastly, Benny King is flying the flag solo for the Suns out of the square with no Sexton or Wright. It will be a tough matchup for him but if the Suns bring what they brought in the pre-season he will get chances to kick them.

  • Suns @ 2.90
  • Suns +17.5 @ 1.90
  • Tri Bet 1-19 @ 2.20
  • Will Brodie 20+
  • Ben King 2 Goals @ 2.50
  • Ben King 3, 4, 5, 6+ Goals @ 5.50, 15.00, 51.00 & 126.00

NRL

The Warriors have been living out of suitcases up and down the east coast all week and we can’t see them bringing even what they bought last week to Newcastle, which saw them flogged to zero by a Knights team that was not even that good. Canberra are a better side. The game is on the Gold Coast where two thirds of kiwi’s actually live, but none of them will be able to come out and cheer. To say this could get ugly for the Warriors is akin to saying Carona virus could cause mild disruptions in coming weeks! Charnze Nicholl-Klokstad (refuse to type his name again so i'm calling him Scrabble) at $5’s for Most Meters looks amazing considering he peeled out 93m in 35mins first up last week. Loading up here on a Raiders rampage, this could be our toilet paper money for the season!!

  • Raiders -13.5 @ 1.90
  • Jack Wighton Try @ 2.80
  • Jack Wighton 2 Tries @ 11.00
  • Jack Wighton Hatty @ 67.00
  • Cotric Try @ 1.90
  • Cotric 2 Tries @ 4.50
  • Croker Try @ 2.10
  • Croker 2 Try @ 6.00
  • Scrabble Try @ 2.20
  • Scrabble 2 Try @ 7.00
  • Joseph Tapine Try @ 3.10
  • Elliot Whitehead Try @ 3.30
  • CNZ Most Meters @ 5.00 (!!)

Multi Madness

1. Jack Wighton Try into Will Brodie 20+ @ 5.88

2. Wighton Try into Ben King 2 Goals @ 7.00

3. Scrabble Most Meters into Will Brodie 20+ @ 10.50

4. Scrabble Most Meters into Ben King 2 Goals @ 12.50

Hedge

Cruelly denied sporting glory due to recurring shin splint complaints and an aversion to warm-up laps, Hedge now spends his days golfing, fishing the leaves out of the Club 20 pools and identifying value plays in PGA, AFL, AFLW and T20. All you really need to know about him is he's more than comfortable taking 3I off the tee on a Par 5, and more than capable of pulling driver off the deck second shot.
